Verb Ballets ignites audience passion and participation in contemporary dance. Under the leadership of Director, Dr. Margaret Carlson, Verb strives to support and foster emerging talent, to present excellence in contemporary choreographers, and to revive and honor modern dance classics. The company strives to be a thought leader in cultivating dance appreciation and support through education and outreach programs. In growing audience appreciation for dance Verb Ballets helps make northeast Ohio a national destination for the arts.

In 2012-13, Verb Ballets welcomes the return of contemporary choreographers Antonio Brown and Chung-Fu Chang as well as Verb Ballets' Rehearsal Director and choreographer, Richard Dickinson. This diverse group of choreographers will each get the opportunity to explore and challenge their creative side. The audience will discover how their choreography and expressive possibilities are interpreted by the dancers and on themselves as they dance a solo work of their choosing. This opportunity for the choreographers holds great potential for self-discovery and will delight audiences as they discover a new side of Verb.
